SHIP FOR CEYLON

The Lighthouse tender 'FRANK REES' which is being built at the Knottingley yard of John Harker (Shipbuilders) Ltd., was launched on Thursday by Mrs F.E. Rees, wife of Mr Frank Rees, after whom the ship is named. It is for the Board of Trade for services in Ceylon and will be based at Colombo, where it will be used for the relief and transporting of provisions, fresh water and diesel oil etc., to the Basses Lights.
