LAUNCH:

A second power barge built by John Harker Ltd., of Knottingley for a firm of timber merchants at Swinton was launched at the Knottingley yard on Monday. The vessel is designed for use between Hull and Sheffield and will carry about 110 tons of general cargoes.
The launch ceremony was performed by the secretary of the firm, Miss Broad, who received a gift of a cigarette box from Messrs Harker.
