Launch of Herbert Crampin at John Harker's shipyard in Knottingley

TUG LAUNCHED AT KNOTTINGLEY
The 272nd vessel to be launched from the shipyard of John Harker Ltd., Knottingley, and the fourth tug to be built there for Grimsby Salvage and Towing Co., Ltd., was the 'HERBERT CRAMPIN', on Tuesday.
The ceremony was performed by Mrs Crampin, wife of Mr H.W Crampin, ex Chairman of the Grimsby Fishing Vessel Owners Association.
The vessel, which is 62 feet long, 17 feet broad and had a gross tonnage of 46 tons, will be used for river and harbour towage services at Grimsby.
